The Press About “Nuances Of Life”
“….The goal was achieved and The Silent Rage prove in the most obvious way that not only they have nothing to envy in comparison to their colleagues abroad but most importantly they are releasing one of the best records of the year.”
“[…] America, America. JAG PANZER meets ICED EARTH with Block and this is an album more geared towards US power metal fans than Europe. Overall very good job!”
“[…] Finally: a very good recording step by The Silent Rage who with their sword, claim a place in the elite of heavy / power metal, not only by the standards of our country but also by those that prevail all over the “globe”. Exciting metal music, well played, interesting, with good flow and completely professional presentation. If – for example – for this year, Night Demon (again, for example) delivered a great album in the artistic current that I negotiate in these lines (I’m talking about the amazing “Outsider” that was released recently), then The Silent Rage with “Nuances Of Life”, oppose them on equal terms. Absolutely recommended. That’s all.”
“[…] On a purely musical level – heavy drum patterns, pulsating bass lines, powerful and quite catchy riffs, melodic guitar solos – we have no comments to make […]”
“[…] If you like your Metal heavy but you like it melodic, crushing riffs, high-end vocals, you’re gonna love this album! Totally recommended!”
“[…] Musically the band knows how to bring it all right. With the nice quieter Black Monday the band brings the gem of the album. With the bonus track Defy The Headhunters and Harvester of Souls the band knows how to present a nice solid album!”
“[…] Nuances of Life is an album full of honestly played and sung metal, and I’m already coming back to it on purpose. I especially liked the singing of Michalis Ranakakis. His charismatic rasp is actually a combination of Stu Block in Iced Earth with a voice ala Rob Halford or Ripper and it sounds really good. […]”
“[…] Unquestionably a huge leap for the band, unquestionably a very strong release in a genre that is coming back strong and becoming more and more competitive. Unquestionably professional release in all aspects, cover (Remedy Art Design), production (Fotis Benardo) and presentation. Well done for all, well done to all […]”
“[…] In conclusion, THE SILENT RAGE’s new offering is an absolute must for fans of melodic Power Metal. The band has once again succeeded in bringing their musical skills and subtleties into the songs and thus creating an album that is absolutely worth listening to. Each song is unique and offers a variety of styles and influences that are perfectly matched. Together with the outstanding music, an incomparable atmosphere between traditional and new Power Metal was created. Produced at the highest level, which positively reinforces the overall impression. All in all, one can say that the Greeks have once again proven with their new work that they belong to the top bands in the mixed genre. In conclusion, THE SILENT RAGE’s new offering is an absolute must for fans of melodic Power Metal. “[…] THE SILENT RAGE are very varied, melodic, catchy, groovy and dynamic on “Nuances of Life”. A successful, innovative mix, relaxed passages that loosen up the whole thing effectively. In the end I give an unconditional purchase recommendation, a mistake is impossible with this work.”
“[…] The Silent Rage have thrown the kitchen sink at this second record, so much so you could even call it a re-debut, establishing their name outside of their native Greece with a slick new line up and some killer new heavy metal anthems. […] Nuances Of Life is the rebirth for The Silent Rage, a brilliant record from a band who deserve your attention.”
“[…] Our compatriots follow the steps of the greats of the sound they serve, but with mastery they add things that complete the sound and their personal characteristic in the end. With “Nuances Of Life” magic meets reality, dream meets dystopia and listening becomes experience. There is no need to even mention the clichés about foreign bands and other jealousies. But what is worth mentioning is that hard work pays off, and the work they put in after their debut paid off, an air of a great band and beyond the passion, the whole rotation yielded freshness and variety with the result proving it. It may have taken a while for their star to emerge, but the Athenian metallers, along with a contract with Scarlet Records and their second effort, show plenty of promise.”
“[…] The Silent Rage’s songs are well-written and the band know what they are doing and how to execute their material. Nuances of Life is less-polished than much power metal is, and I don’t mean that in any disparaging way. The weighty production, lack of keyboards, and the band’s predilection for meaty thrash riffs means that this is power metal with a good influence from both heavy and thrash metal. [..]”
“[…] What else could be said about “Nuances Of Life” than that this work is an absolute MUST for every Power Metal disciple. The quality of the songs as well as the production speaks for itself and I could easily list 5-6 songs where while listening to the album I hit the repeat button multiple times to hear the corresponding numbers over and over again. In my humble opinion, THE SILENT RAGE not only delivered the best Power Metal record to date, but also a strong contender for album of the year. Raise Your Horns!”
“[…] You wouldn’t know it by the presentation, necessarily, but The Silent Rage are certainly more traditionalist than most bands proudly waving the power metal flag. And that’s a good thing. Power metal is a spectrum. Not that I don’t enjoy that more melodic and Euro power side of that spectrum. Because there’s a time and a place for Fellowship, and that time is most any hour of any day and that place is Earth. But, variety being the spice of life that it is, I do enjoy my fair share of no guts, no glory power metal. Thankfully, The Silent Rage deliver the goods. More than 50 minutes of it. No filler. In crystal clear fashion. Thumbs way up on this one.”
“[…] A powerful work rooted in Classic Metal, mixed with attractive melodies, offering us a theme where they explore human emotions, humanity’s problems that leave us sequels, told through some stories about heroes. […] Surrounding sound and production with its power and melody. [..] They manage to create those atmospheres of power and attractive harmonies. […]”
